Presentation: Millennials for Change: Transforming the Inner City?
In today’s data-driven society it’s imperative that those who are committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion must be at the forefront of utilizing data and technology to scale impact and measure accurately to address social issues. We want to continue to build a movement that is multi-generational, multicultural, and inclusive in our service. Not only do we want to build an institution that’s focused on providing services but we want to ensure our impact is measured effectively using available data and technology. We want to alleviate poverty through digital tools and increase awareness through targeted online advertising and increasing support through digital fundraising.
This issue is relevant to other leaders because it answers one of today’s most pertinent questions around the role of data and technology in addressing social issues. As our society consistently is transforming and is being impacted by artificial intelligence, augmented reality, advanced robotics, and much other new technology we must strive to solve the most basic issues we have in today’s world which is access to food, water, and shelter. Many nonprofits and initiatives to fight against poverty are lost when it comes to understanding what role these new technologies play in effectively alleviating poverty and solving social issues. In this talk, Arbazz will highlight how using these technologies we can begin to solve issues within our own community and society at large
